Hello! My name is Tanner Sigler and I'm from Lubbock, Texas. I'm studying Therapeutic Recreation at BYU-Idaho. I'm creating this blog as part of a Family Relations class and I hope I can share with all of you my passion for strong family relations, things that I learn throughout this semester, and I'll even include specific ways that we can build and strengthen our relationship with our family members.

      How often do you misinterpret a message or someone misunderstands what you are trying to say? I am sure each of us have had this problem probably numerous times. It is not fun! In fact it is pretty frustrating! We communicate in many different ways such as through our spoken words, our written words, and our non-verbal communication. Should Marriage Traditions Stay, Or Be A Thing Of The Past?

    My wife Dani, and I got married in October of 2021. Best decision of my life! I am so grateful to be married to my best friend. After we dated for a while, we started talking about marriage and I quickly learned that while we shared the same opinions on most aspects of marriage, there were definitely a few things that I never even thought of. I learned that marital traditions vary between families and generations. Here's my story:     Let me begin with how we started talking about marriage. Just from dating her, I knew that Dani would make a wonderful wife. We shared the same views on religion and politics.
